Provincial leaders laid stones to build the main hall of Minh Duc pagoda
The ceremony was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Viet Chu; Former Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Vo Duc Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Ngoc Dzung, leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City and the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist of Quang Ngai Province.
Minh Duc Pagoda is located in Thien Ma Cultural Area with the total area of nearly 100ha in the area of Ngang Mountain, Tinh Long commune and Tinh Khe commune of Quang Ngai city. Being started construction in 2018 by the Venerable Thich Tam Vi (Investor), the main hall is built with an area of about 10,800m2, 37m high.
The main hall is estimated to complete with more than VND 300 billion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Ngoc Dzung sent his sincere gratitude to Buddhist monks and nuns everywhere for joining hands with the provincial leaders in developing Quang Ngai province strongly.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, the PPC’s Vice Chairman Dzung respected the heart of Venerable Thich Tam Vi, Buddhist monks and nuns inside and outside the province who have been interested in investing in Thien Ma Cultural Park and Minh Duc Pagoda in Quang Ngai.
Mr. Dung also would like to thank the domestic and foreign businesses, businessmen, monks and nuns, Buddhists who have been and will continue to support the Buddhist Church in Quang Ngai province, the religion facilities in the province in general and Minh Duc pagoda in particular, and hoped that this place will be the largest Buddhist cultural and spiritual cultural project not only known in the province but also nationwide.
