Quang Ngai social insurance: Suspension of contribution to the retirement and survivorship funds until June 2020

The provincial social insurance has directed localities, units to review, guide and propagate to organizations and enterprises in services of passenger transport, tourism, accommodation, restaurant and other special industries meeting with difficulties caused by Covid-19, in order to timely enjoy new policies.

Accordingly, the provincial social insurance will receive and immediately resolve the enterprises application for suspension of contribution to the retirement and survivorship funds until June 2020. By the end of June 2020, if such enterprises still have been adversely affected by COVID-19, the payment of fees can be delayed until 31 December 2020.

By the end of March 2020, Quang Ngai had nearly 104,000 people participating in compulsory social insurance, more than 1.1 million people participating in health insurance; 6,628 people participating in voluntary social insurance; over 92,000 people participated in unemployment insurance, with a revenue of more than VND 485 billion, reaching 16.29% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance.

The provincial social insurance has issued more than 2,800 insurance books, bringing the total number of people who had insurance books to over 100,000 people.
