QuangNgai to stabilize commodity market during Covid-19 epidemic
Due to the increasing purchasing needs, the inventory of goods in the QuangNgai market in early March 2020 had a sharp drop, the Department of Industry and Trade has worked with key businesses, especially supermarkets and trade centers to urgently import goods, ensuring sufficient goods to serve the needs of people, with about 20,000 tons of goods of all kinds.
In addition, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade also required strengthening activities to connect supply - demand, ensure the distribution system of goods from the center of QuangNgai City to rural areas, mountainous areas and islands, meeting the increasing demand of people during the epidemic time.
In order to better manage the market, the provincial People's Committee has directed functional agencies to closely monitor market movements, update, follow the situation of supply of essential goods, avoiding shortage of essential goods supply, prolonged high price; at the same time, to strictly control the commitment of selling goods at the right price and right quality, ensuring food hygiene and safety.
Functioned agencies were assigned to monitor and supervise commodity markets, promptly detect and strictly handle activities of smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods, focusing on handling acts of taking advantage of the epidemic for speculation of essential commodities.
Currently, QuangNgai has issued a list of essential items, including: Rice, noodles, packaged food; cattle and poultry meat; vegetables; antibacterial masks, aqueous disinfectant.
Supermarkets of Co.op Mart QuangNgai, Co.op Mart Duc Pho; VinMartQuangNgai and the system of mini supermarkets, convenience stores VinMart +, branches of EB HaiPhong Joint Stock Company in QuangNgai have pledged to accompany QuangNgai in stabilizing the market.
